1 Week: Cabbage Soup Diet (Lose Up To 7 Kg)

Hey everyone, I've recently announced on my Facebook that I was going to do a cabbage soup diet, and asked if any of you were interested in knowing more about it, many of you said yes so here it goes. :)

The cabbage soup diet is a radical weight loss diet designed around heavy consumption of a low-calorie cabbage soup over the time of seven days. Beverages are limited to water, and unsweetened fruit juice on days when fruit is allowed.

Typically, when I do this diet, I follow a few rules such as strictly cutting sugar, drinking at least 2 litres of water per day, 1 cup of unsweetened tea/infusion after each meal or more, getting a real nice sleep routine and working out as much as possible. 

Please keep in mind that this is my version of the soup, if you wanna change it a little bit you're totally free to do so. 



THE SOUP


Ingredients: 
- 1/2 medium sized Napa cabbage (avoid the normal round cabbage as they can be smelly and unpleasant to eat in a soup)
- 1/2 celery 
- 4 carrots
- 4 tomatoes 
- 2 bell pepper (capsicum) 
- 5 big onions 
- 4 garlic cloves 
- 3 chicken/beef bouillon cube 

Instructions:


Cut all your vegetables into small to medium pieces, here's my cabbage and celery 


Carrots, garlic cloves, tomatoes, bell peppers, onions 


Cover them with water, season to your preference (salt, pepper, bouillon cube...)


Let it simmer until the vegetables become tender 


Optional: I don't like chunks of vegetables in watery soup, so I mixed it lightly with a hand blender


This is the constancy you should get if you want your soup to be like mine 


Voilà, bon appétit! 

I swear it doesn't taste as bad as people say it, or it's just that my recipe is awesome. 



THE WEEKLY MENU

Day 1:
Soup
Fruits except the ones high in sugar (banana, strawberries, cantaloupes…)
Unsweetened tea, unsweetened fruit juice

Day 2:
Soup
Vegetables except corn, peas and dried beans
No fruit

Day 3:
Soup
Fruits and vegetables as much as you want

- If have followed my advises these 3 days, you should have lost 2 to 3 kg. If you haven't, don't lose hope - keep swimming, little fish.

Day 4:
Soup
Banana (up to 3) and milk (up to 1 liter) 

Day 5:
Soup
150 gr of beef and 3-5 tomatoes 

Day 6:
Soup
150 gr of beef (or grilled skinless chicken) and unlimited vegetables. 

Day 7:
Soup
Brown rice, unsweetened fruit juice and unlimited vegetables. 


 WORKOUT ROUTINE 

  • 5 mins of cardio 
  • 5 mins of abs
  • 5 mins of arms
  • 10 minutes of bicycle
  • 45 mins - 1 hr of fast walking

    1. Normally; yes, for me. But the efficiency of a routine works depending on a person (male/female, how much you eat, how easily your body takes it, other physical differences etc.) so don't hesitate to do it your way! Just don't skip it. :p Best of luck!
