D.I.Y Hand Care

Taking care of your hands is crucial, specially with Winter coming up very soon. So I found 3 super easy recipes you could do at home, without ruining yourself, with ingredients you probably already have in your kitchen. :)

For the first one, you will be needing:
- One ripe strawberry
- Sugar
- Extra virgin olive oil

Take all of your ingredients and mix them up in a bowl.

Strawberries contain a natural fruit acid which aids in exfoliation. Plus, strawberries are chock full of numerous Polyphenols which can act as antioxidants. If you don't get it, just consider the fact that "antioxidant = good" ;)
Sugar is going to help scrub your skin and get rid of dead skin. And extra virgin olive oil is going to help nourish and hydrate.

Apply the mixture on your hands and rub well. Then wash off with clear water and apply a light moisturiser!

For the second one, you will be needing:
- Raw potato
- Extra virgin olive oil

Start off by grating your potato, then add your oil. About two teaspoon should do. Stir until it becomes a paste.

Potatoes have been used for years and years because they are highly effective for rough, chapped & undernourished skin. So this receipe is purely for nourishing your hands.

Just apply your mixture on your hands and let it sit for a few minutes. Then rinse off with clear water.

Okay so for the last one, you only need:
- Tomato juice
- Glycerin
- Salt

Just take one big spoon of each with a little bit of salt, and mix them up.

For saying something about tomato... :p Tomato contains Lycopene, which acts like a sunscreen (so applying tomato with sugar on your face is eventually a good idea, moreover it also acts as an anti-aging) and is an antioxidant. This method is used for having soft hands.

Massage this gently onto your skin for a few minutes and rinse off. Pat dry with a soft towel.

Enjoy your soft and nourished hands! ♡
